Universal extended battery for mobile phones (including the iPhone) that's actually.... useable?

Do you see what I see?
It’s an external extended battery. For the iPhone (amongst other phones) that is NOT a brick. That’s a PowerChimp Portable Charger Kit spotted on spotted on British Airway’s site. I Googled to see if it was available in the U.S. and indeed it is! The description from Radio Shack’s page:
“Primate power! Get a nifty little charger for most portable gadgets that can also re-juice rechargeable batteries! Use it to recharge your mobile phone, iPod®, MP3 player, PDA, PSP, iPhone® and other digital devices. You’ll wonder how you ever lived without this little guy. ” Link: http://bit.ly/32HbZZ -
and from Dell’s site:
“Small and agile, the PowerChimp Portable Charger Kit from Alpha Plus International can be left in your bag, car, desk, etc and will be ready to provide you with emergency power when you need it most.” Link: http://bit.ly/A6UCt
I couldn’t find it on Engadget or Gizmodo… or any other tech blog for that matter, so I’m quite baffled. I wonder if it’s too good to be true.
