As of Wednesday, July 2, 2008 4:57 PM, gchat for iPhones launched. It really works. I tried it. The interface looks EXACTLY like the image above. (part of the reason I linked the large image) No downloading required. From browser, punch in www.google.com/talk and BAM, you’re online! HOORAY!!

…..but um, it’s not native
meaning Safari has to be up in order to chat
meaning it’s utterly useless because well um meebo mobile does the same exact thing. Except my AIM, MSN, Gchat, etc., etc., are signed on simultaneously. Which makes web based Gchat POINTLESS; unless you’re insistent on logging all your chats in Gmail…..
